The City of Shelton has partnered with SC Johnson to provide a 6-month pilot plastic film recycling program to residents along two garbage routes. This is the third plastic film recycling program to launch in Washington state, along with Point Roberts and Friday Harbor.
Eligible residents were notified via postcard about this program. To participate, please call Waste Connections at 360-426-8729. Recycling carts and instructions will be delivered to those residents who opt-in to this free program.
The first collection will take place on Wednesday, April 27 and cover Route 3-16R (Parsley Sage, Springfield Loop, and Christmas Village). Route 1-16R (Mt.View) will have its first pickup on Wednesday, May 11.
