Emergency Management

The City of Shelton Fire Marshall is the Director of Emergency Management for the City and works closely with the Mason County Department of Emergency Management, the Washington State Department of Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the region.

It is the responsibility of the Fire Marshall to work in cooperation with local, county, state and federal authorities to assist the City of Shelton in the development and management of the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and in meeting compliance requirements for emergency management planning and implementation.

Members of the Shelton Division of Central Mason Fire and EMS participate in ongoing training as a part of the National Incident Management System under the direction of the Department of Homeland Security. It is the intention of the Shelton Division of Central Mason Fire and EMS to be prepared to respond to incidents of any level as a part of our protection and service to the citizens of Shelton.

The Shelton Division of Central Mason Fire and EMS encourages all residents and business owners within the Shelton City Limits to be prepared for emergencies of any type. As a part of our public education support efforts for the citizens of Shelton, we have a variety of materials to assist residents and businesses in emergency preparedness planning.
