Historic Preservation Board

The Historic Preservation Board oversees City activities related to historic preservation. This board is responsible for identifying and actively encouraging the conservation of Shelton's historic resources by:

  • Initiating and maintaining a register of historic places
  • Reviewing proposed changes to register properties
  • Raising community awareness of Shelton's history and historic properties
This work promotes civic pride and improves the aesthetic and economic vitality of our community.

Board members serve a three-year term and are appointed by City Council.
