As a result of Gov. Inslee's "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" proclamation, the City of Shelton will be suspending all building inspections unless they meet the following criteria:

• Construction related to essential activities as described in Gov. Inslee's order (ex: hospitals, bridges, water and sewer systems)
• To further a public purpose related to a public entity or governmental function or facility, including but not limited to publicly financed low-income housing; or
• To prevent spoliation and avoid damage or unsafe conditions, and address emergency repairs at both non-essential businesses and residential structures.

We are also changing inspection protocols. All current active permits and development permit applications shall also be granted a 180-day extension upon request.
