Shelton City Council will be using Zoom for all City Council meetings through the end of 2020.
Beginning at the September 1 meeting, members of the public can access any meeting via Zoom. The link to join each meeting will be found on the City's website: https://www.sheltonwa.gov/government/city_council/agendas_and_minutes.php
Expand the "2020 Meetings" menu and click on the "More..." hyperlink next to the meeting's date. The Zoom link will be under "Additional Documents".
We're excited to have available more opportunities for the public to have their opinions heard. We hope these new tools will increase the transparency of City operations.
PROVIDING PUBLIC COMMENT
Members of the public can provide public comment during a meeting in the following 3 ways:
When your name is called during the meeting, the City Clerk will unmute your microphone so you are able to make your comments.
If advanced notification isn't possible, you may use the "Raise Your Hand" feature on Zoom during the public comment/public hearing period if you wish to make a comment. When your name is called, the City Clerk will unmute your microphone so you are able to make your comments.
As in a live meeting, all comments will be limited to 3 minutes.
2) Written Comments: Written comments may be submitted by email to Jeff Niten, City Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your comments will be relayed directly to the City Council.
3) Phone Comments: Comments can be submitted by phone to (360) 432-5105.
